Economics department is an integral part under its umbrella. Within the B.A. Programme, students have the flexibility to specialize in multiple subjects by selecting from the various course combinations offered by the college.

One such example is the Economics, this course is exclusively available to B.A. Programme students as a Discipline course. For Generic Elective - This course is designed as the first course that introduces computers and programming to non-Computer Science students. The course focuses on the use of computer and programming to solve problems of different domains. It also introduces the concept of object- oriented programming. With the introduction of the National Education Policy (NEP), the Economics department has undergone significant changes, including the implementation of major and minor degree programs. Alongside core papers such as Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, the addition of courses like Mathematics and Basics of Econometrics, Basic Statistics, Public Finance, and Intermediate Micro and Macro Economics offers students a comprehensive foundation. These enhancements provide an added advantage, allowing students to earn an Honors degree upon completing a four-year program, equipping them with advanced skills and knowledge for their future endeavors.
