The street play society of Bharti college is called Manthan. It is one of the most talked about street play societies in Delhi University. It is a spirit that has evolved over the past 12 years through consistent hard work, creativity and innovation.
Our society has performed at reputed theatre festivals and platforms, including Jan Natya Manch, Udaan, and colleges such as Dayal Singh, Kalindi, PGDAV College and so on. And we have also played at various slum areas near Sagarpur, Mayapuri, Krishna Colony and so on.
Owing to their outstanding performances of our society members have won best actress awards two times in Udaan and we have also got 7th position in the Udaan festival out of 60 teams. Students have also been awarded in different colleges like PGDAV, Kalindi college, etc.
We have about 13 to 15 members in our society. Our society has been headed by astonishing members and is currently headed by our President – Dhriti Bharti, Vice president – Lalita, Secretary – Archna kumari and Treasurer – Kajal Yadav.
We are anticipating to perform at more festivals and streets and spread awareness about more social issues through our street play society Manthan.
