Bharati College and its SC/ST/OBC Cell is committed to the Constitutional Mandate of equality and social justice. It is the constant and consistent effort of the Cell to provide an environment that facilitates academic and professional development of students, teachers and administrative staff in the college, particularly those belonging to the SC/ST/OBC.
As per the mandate of the UGC regarding the functions of such special cells, the cell is instrumental in monitoring the effective implementation of the reservation policy in admission, recruitment, allotment of hostel etc. in college. It also receives representations from students and employees belonging to the SC/ST/OBC in matters concerning the admission, recruitment, promotion and other similar matters in college for necessary correspondence and action. The Cell also functions as Grievance Redressal Cell for the grievances of SC/ST/OBC students and employees of the college and render them necessary help in solving their academic as well as administrative problems. Further, the Cell endeavors to undertake any other work assigned from time to time to promote higher education among the members of SC/ST/OBC.
The Cell comprises of members from the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff as well as student representatives from the SC/ST/OBC.
