न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते।
ज्ञान के समान पवित्र इस संसार में कुछ नहीं है।।
There is nothing more pure in this world than knowledge(Jyana)
Bharati College aims to provide the highest-quality liberal arts and sciences education to exceptional young women through academic programs recognized for their excellence and range. Since its establishment in 1971, the College has succeeded in providing a transformative and holistic experience to the diverse set of learners who join the institution. Students across the country are drawn to Bharati College for the empathy and sincerity that they encounter in their journey here - from the time they step into its portals for admissions to their graduation. These young scholars become part of an exciting, rigorous and inclusive campus community with a highly qualified, and accessible faculty and staff. As a women’s college, we also understand our responsibility to empower our students to become leaders in their chosen fields- so that they emerge as confident voices for social change in their own communities. The focus on academic excellence and development of critical thought- along with programmes toward their personal growth- trains our students to contribute in a meaningful manner to this silent revolution. We firmly believe that the future belongs to these young women- now more than ever. Above all therefore, encapsulated in the following Sanskrit words (the motto of the College) lies the guiding philosophy of Bharati College - “न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते। तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्ध: कालेनात्मनि विन्दति।।” (There is nothing more pure in this world than knowledge(Jyana))
Bharati College is committed towards:
Bharati College has a strong tradition of shared decision-making among its administration, faculty and students. The College functions primarily through the various committees which are duly constituted in the Staff Council. These committees comprise of both the Teaching and the Non-Teaching Staff of the College. It is understood that the synergies needed to efficiently run the College will only be realized if committees are representative in their constitution. All decisions are taken in Committee meetings. Effort has been made to empower the Committee Conveners/ Teachers in Charges of each Department. Most decisions for initiating new programmes or activities in the College are taken in the Committee meetings or the staff council meetings. The decisions are then taken to the Governing Body for approval.
