The Women's Development Cell, Bharati College, University of Delhi aims at encouraging women's studies, ensuring equity and addressing women social, political and economic issues in society and at the university level. Our focus is to make students aware about women centric issues and the significance of the differences between feminists and the feminazi. We encourage women to be self-reliant and economically independent. We are nurturing young minds and helping them to pave their way to grow into balanced and better human beings.
Types of activities
The Jagriti team remains active throughout the year, holding inter college and intra college competitions and workshops, film screenings, conferences, seminars, webinars and discussions on gender issues, annual fest, street plays, students camps and visits to various places like IIT Delhi-NDTV, safety of women in the public, domestic and private domains and much more!. Every year the WDC team consisting of both students and teachers organizes more than a dozen events. Main aim of our activities is to help women realise their full potential.
Our Students
Jagriti comprises faculty and student coordinators from across sections and disciplines. Our student coordinators are expected to actively engage with issues of gender mainstreaming, and coordinate all the events on various platforms.
