Overall, the main aim of NSS is to facilitate personality development of students through social and community service.

Our Working

Under the auspices of the National Service Scheme our volunteers work with the nearby Deen Dayal Hospital helping out in different sections of the hospital like family planning, pediatrics, general medicine etc. They have also learnt and equipped themselves up some medical tips so that they could attend to minor ailments themselves.

Another area that they work in is the slums nearby. In this they partner with the Angels Academy, teaching young children the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and academics. The NSS also works with the physically and mentally disabled children of West Delhi, organizing a grand function on World Disabled Day every year for them. In this we partner with the Ashirwad Special Society. Besides this blood donation camps, self-defense training programmes and youth programmes are organized regularly.

The varied activities that are offered to students includes Gender Issue, National Integration & Social Harmony, Disaster Management, Environment Enrichment, etc. which go a long way in achieving the goal of NSS to contribute to channelizing our youth towards nation building. And regular visits are paid to our adopted slum, Shankar Vihar slum of Vikaspuri, where volunteers teach mentally challenged students. Volunteers also act as readers and writers for visually challenged students from various academic backgrounds.
