This year, the Counselling Centre has three counselors to provide enhanced mental health support to students and staff.
The Counselling Centre at Bharati College offers a dedicated and private space within the campus, ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for counselling sessions.
Bharati College recognizes that mental well-being is essential for academic success, healthy relationships, and a positive learning environment. The Counselling and Well-Being Initiative extends beyond individual sessions to include group engagement, workshops, preventive mental health work, and skill development — aligning with the College’s vision of holistic education.

Ms. Riya Pawar is a Counselling Psychologist trained in psychosocial clinical practice and child guidance. She brings a reflective and student-centred approach to her work, grounded in ethical practice and sensitivity to individual developmental and psychosocial needs.
She works with students navigating emotional concerns, academic pressures, and personal challenges. She strives to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and free of judgment, where students can pause, reflect, and openly share their experiences.
Her approach integrates attentive listening, cultural awareness, and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. She is committed to understanding each student’s unique context, strengths, and developmental trajectory while fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and adaptive coping capacities. Sessions are collaborative, student-centred, and guided by established ethical counselling principles.

Ms. Ruchika Gupta is a qualified mental health professional trained in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She has experience working with young adults, adolescents, and families supporting them through academic stress, emotional concerns, adjustment difficulties, Interpersonal challenges and personal growth journeys.
Her therapeutic style is empathetic, client-centred, and non-judgmental. She believes in creating a safe and confidential space where an individual feels heard, understood and respected.
Ms. Gupta is committed to fostering psychological well being and empowering individuals to realize their potential input personal and academic spheres believing that every individual has the potential to grow and thrive when provided with the right support.

Ms. Simran Bhasin Handa

Ms. Simran Bhasin Handa is a trained mental health professional integrating clinical psychology with mindfulness-based practices. Her work combines counselling psychology, yoga, and meditation to support emotional balance and well-being.
She offers individual counselling, group sessions, and emotional well-being & coping support. Her approach is supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental, helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, and emotional concerns in a structured yet compassionate manner.
