The department offers Economics both as major and minor discipline in BA Two Core Discipline Multidisciplinary course, wherein the students study papers in the diverse areas of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Mathematical Analysis, Optimization, Econometrics, Game theory, Development Economics, Indian Growth and development, Environmental Economics, Public Economics, Open Economy, Financial Markets, Money and Banking etc. Moreover, the department offers the opportunity to students to attain a BA Honours in Economics degree by pursuing 4th year of BA Multidisciplinary (formerly known as BA Programme) with Economics as the major discipline.
In addition to this, UG One Core discipline Honours Courses students can study Economics as a Generic Elective discipline, getting an opportunity to study papers ranging from Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, to Indian Economy, Development Economics, Environment Economics, Money and Banking etc. Concurrently, BA. Programme and BCom. Programme students get the opportunity to opt for Economics as a Generic Elective in 3rd year.
